Chichu the Portie is an AKC registered, 100% purebred, champion bloodline Portuguese Water Dog. She was born on August 9, 2021. She is super intelligent and overall great dog.

My Story
I was brought to my family in Maryland from far away. My new human parents picked me up and I was so happy to get to my new home where I met Striper! He was a big Portie who had been their first PWD. He taught me everything, even how to swim in the ocean. He told me about a time when he swam far out in Cape Cod's Barnstable Harbor. He loved to get on the boat, so I also love to get on the boat and the canoe.
Sadly, Striper died when I was a puppy. I had really gotten to know him and I looked up to him.
As I grew up, my humans really taught me how to listen to commands, like sit, stay, fetch, go get it, lay down, and how to walk on and off the leash and stay close on long walks and hikes. I love to run and pull my little humans on their rollerblades and bikes.
Later, my humans got Skippy. The Skippy moment was crazy because they got him from what they thought was a legit and honest breeder because their website was so nice, and they had been breeding for 20 years. But, they ended up getting scammed because they did not know about the PWD Puppy Mill crisis in Lancaster, PA and Sugar Creek, OH. So beware of Puppy Mills in Amish Country. They sold my humans what they thought was a 100% purebred Portie, but he was a half Miniature Poodle & half PWD. He was supposed to be the sire of my puppies but that did not work out, so one of my human's friends adopted him. Beware of breeders who seem to have lots of puppies all the time, or if they are cheap. I must say, I am worth it because I am healthy, and I am not inbred or mixed with any other kind of dog. And ask for a DNA puppy test as part of a 100% money, back purchase.
So now, the Sire of my dreams, Chaco, that buff pup you see on the home page, is my true mate for life! He's a 100% Purebred Portie. You can read more about him on his page. He's a little younger than me, but he's a great playmate.
